Ingredients for the production of peach liqueur

  • 1 kg of peaches
  • 1/2 bottle of rum
  • 1 bottle of wheat grain
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 carnations
  • 1 lemon
  • 200 g of sugar

Preparation of the peach liqueur

➥ Step 1:

First of all, you need to remove the peach stones. Halve the peaches and then unscrew or cut the core.

2 Step 2:

The next step is to flavor the fruit. For this you need a container with a volume of at least three liters. Then add the sliced lemon, the cloves and the cinnamon stick in addition to the peach halves. Now the rum and the grain are added, so that all fruits are completely covered with the alcohol.

Now you have to close the container tightly, because no air can get in or out. Then keep the jar in a warm place for three weeks.

3 Step 3:

After the three weeks have passed, you must separate the fruit from the liquid. Simply pour the liquid through a sieve.

4 Step 4:

Then put 250 ml of water on the stove and then dissolve 200 grams of sugar in it. Then add the sugar solution to the alcoholic liquid.

5 Step 5:

Now the liqueur only has to “ripen” for three to four months. To do this, fill the liqueur into several bottles and let it soak.

By the way:

You don't have to throw the fruits away. You can still eat them. However, the very high alcohol content must be taken into account.
